About me

I have a university degree in Psychology from the University of Bridgeport (CT, USA, 2006). I gained a diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling in 2023 and recently completed an Advanced Master’s in Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute in London. Additionally, by attending a Relationship Workshop, I became a relationship specialist. I engage in regular supervision and continued professional development. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
As a bilingual therapist in Turkish and English, and having lived across different continents, I bring a personal understanding of cultural transition, identity, and belonging. I also support clients navigating migration, relocation, cross-cultural relationships, and the emotional complexities of living between cultures.

Summary of Experience

With over five years of clinical experience across NHS GP surgeries, specialist placements, and private practice, I offer a warm, thoughtful, and culturally sensitive space for therapy. I work with individuals, couples, and families (age depending), supporting a wide range of concerns including anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, identity, bereavement, fertility challenges, neurodiversity, and life transitions. My approach is relational, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique needs, helping clients explore patterns, emotions, and behaviours in a safe and non-judgemental environment. I have experience providing both short-term focused counselling and longer-term in-depth psychotherapy.
