About me
Hey there, I’m Monica, a BACP-registered therapeutic counsellor and life coach with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments.
My training is founded on an Integrative approach to Therapeutic Counselling, and I have worked across schools, mental health services, charities, and community organisations before establishing my private practice. I now work with a diverse, international client base in person and online.
My approach is relational, holistic, and body-informed. Alongside psychodynamic thinking and humanistic principles, I integrate somatic awareness and nervous system-informed practices into our work.
Our emotions, memories, and relational patterns are not held in the mind alone. They live in the bodies too. By gently bringing attention to bodily experience alongside thoughts and feelings, we can access deeper layers of healing that talking alone sometimes cannot reach. This is particularly valuable for those carrying stress, burnout, trauma, or patterns of emotional shutdown or overwhelm.
I draw on mindfulness, breathwork awareness, and somatic resilience practices to help clients develop a more regulated, resourced nervous system and build the capacity to feel safer in themselves and in their relationships.
I have particular experience supporting people with anxiety, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and trauma. I welcome clients from all cultural and spiritual backgrounds. Whether you are seeking short-term support or a longer, more exploratory journey, I am here to walk alongside you, at your pace, and with your whole self in mind.
