How I can help

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve never spoken to a counsellor before. My aim is to offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly at your own pace. I work with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood, grief and loss, relationship issues, stress, self-esteem, identity, life changes and feeling emotionally stuck or overwhelmed. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes people simply want to better understand themselves or make sense of what they are feeling. As an experienced therapist, I believe the relationship between counsellor and client matters deeply. Feeling safe, heard and understood is an important part of the process. I work in a warm, honest and collaborative way, adapting sessions to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I offer online video and telephone sessions, giving you flexibility and the comfort of accessing support from your own space. If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call. This gives you the chance to ask questions, get a sense of how I work and decide whether I feel like the right fit for you.

About me

I’m an experienced therapist with a background in counselling, mental health, sexual health and health and social care leadership. Alongside my private practice, I have spent many years supporting people through some of the most difficult periods of their lives, including anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, identity issues, low self-esteem and emotional overwhelm.
Earlier in my career, I worked within NHS sexual health services, supporting people around sexual wellbeing, stigma, relationships, HIV, sexuality and diagnoses such as herpes. I understand how deeply issues around intimacy, shame, rejection and confidence can affect people emotionally and psychologically. Many people carry these worries silently for years, often feeling isolated or afraid of being judged. Creating a safe, honest and non-judgemental space for these conversations is something I care deeply about.
