How I can help

I am an experienced Clinical Psychotherapist who has completed an MSc in Person Centered Psychotherapy with UKCP accreditation (MSc UKCP), a Psychology MSc with BPS registration (MSc BPS), and has published research. I work with a range of presenting issues and respond to people to meet their individual needs. I now work in Private Practice, but I have experience across a number of NHS Trusts. My approach to Psychotherapy is Person Centred. This means that I will value your individuality and will respond to your unique needs. I seek to understand your specific experience through a non-judgemental relationship that is based on openness and allows for mutual exploration. The process is different for each person but often includes working on the edge of what is comfortable. The aim is for you to reach your full potential in all domains of life.

About me

Katherine read English at Oxford University. She draws ongoing inspiration from literature, which provides her with nourishment and insights that feed her work with clients.

Before training as a therapist, she worked in financial services. This was not the right environment for her but she is familiar with a range of high intensity working environments. Katherine is invested in helping others identify the conditions that best support the unfolding of their potential and is mindful that these are different for each person.

Katherine has completed a Psychology MSc (BSP) with research on identifying and responding to emotions, as published in the Journal of Addictive Behaviors. She has an acute sense of the problems that occur when emotions, or other parts of our experience, are blocked or ignored.

Katherine has also completed an MSc (UKCP) in Person Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy, and this relational approach to therapy frames her work today.

Katherine continues to expand her clinical knowledge through additional trainings that deepen her understanding of how to support each individual. Please feel free to enquire on specific areas of expertise.

Katherine teaches and practices yoga and meditation. These practices foreground a holistic lens and a commitment to supporting clients live a rich and connected life.
