How I can help

I offer a warm, compassionate and grounded space for adults who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or carrying the impact of painful past experiences. Many of the people I work with come to therapy because they are tired of coping alone. You may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, low self-worth, shame, grief, family issues, or feeling emotionally disconnected from yourself and others. My approach is relational, trauma-informed and somatic, which means we do not only talk about what has happened — we also pay attention to how your experiences live in your body, nervous system, relationships and sense of self. Together, we can work at a pace that feels safe for you. Therapy can help you understand your patterns, regulate difficult emotions, reconnect with your body, build healthier relationships, and develop a deeper sense of self-compassion and inner steadiness. I also have a particular interest in working with Muslim clients, converts to Islam, and those navigating faith, culture, relationships, identity, family expectations, marriage difficulties, intimacy, shame and belonging. I offer online therapy, giving you the flexibility to access support from a private and comfortable space wherever you are.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist with over 13 years’ clinical experience supporting adults with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, including anxiety, trauma, complex trauma, depression, attachment wounds, shame, relationship difficulties, family issues and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is relational, trauma-informed and somatic. This means I pay attention not only to thoughts and emotions, but also to the body, nervous system, attachment patterns and the ways past experiences can shape present-day relationships and coping strategies. Alongside my core psychotherapy training, I have undertaken additional training in somatic and trauma-focused approaches, including Somatic Trauma Therapy, Brainspotting and TRE. My work is also informed by attachment theory, parts work, relational psychotherapy and nervous system regulation. I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and have a particular interest in supporting Muslim clients, converts to Islam, and those exploring issues around faith, culture, identity, relationships, intimacy, shame and belonging. I currently work online with adults, offering a warm, steady and non-judgemental space to explore what feels difficult, painful or unresolved.
