About me
About my approach
Hello, my name is Georgia, and I am a qualified psychotherapist specialising in individual, couple, and psychosexual therapy. I provide a grounded environment for exploring what truly matters. My approach is unique; I am straightforward and will share my observations with you. I focus on how you relate to your experiences rather than merely managing symptoms or developing coping strategies.
This involves a clear examination of the thought and behavior patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and learning to engage with your mind in a fundamentally different manner. It is practical and challenging, requiring you to reflect, analyse, and practice integrating new mindsets and behavior’s outside of our sessions. I am warm and compassionate, yet I also challenge you. I will assign tasks and reflections for you to consider between our sessions.
Ultimately, my goal is for you to have a more fulfilling experience in your relationships, work life, and with yourself. I apply the same approach when working with couples; I am transparent, direct, and encourage couples to consider how they can support each other differently. In my work with couples, I do not harbor the illusion that arguments will not occur; rather, I recognise that disagreements are a natural aspect of relationships. They are essential for fostering change, asserting our needs, establishing boundaries, and ensuring we take care of ourselves by expressing our requirements. Furthermore, my approach emphasises creating a safe environment for disagreement, acknowledging that as individuals, we think and feel differently. This means we may not always agree, yet we can still feel safe, connected, and in love with one another despite our differences. I assist couples in developing more effective communication skills, enhancing their ability to actively listen to one another, and reaching solutions more swiftly.
You will likely thrive with my approach if you are reflective, willing to honestly examine your patterns, desire change rather than just coping strategies, and are prepared to be challenged and engage in work outside of our sessions.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, sexual orientations, genders, and religions, and I am dedicated to providing a therapeutic space that is respectful, inclusive, and affirming of each individual.
What I offer
Individual Therapy – A warm, non-judgmental and challenging space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and life challenges. I help you identify underlying patterns, celebrate your strengths, and guide you toward personal growth and self-awareness.
Couples Therapy – I work with couples both online and in person, helping partners build stronger communication, shift unhelpful dynamics, and reconnect emotionally and physically. I welcome couples from all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ relationships.
Psychosexual Therapy – Whether you’re facing challenges with intimacy, exploring sexual preferences, or healing from trauma, I offer a safe and empowering space to support your journey. Psychosexual therapy can be integrated into our sessions or offered as a dedicated focus.
Neurodivergent Friendly Therapy – As a Dyspraxic therapist, I bring a lived understanding of neurodivergence into the heart of my work. I offer a neurodivergent friendly therapeutic space that values flexibility, clarity, and collaboration, adapting sessions to each client’s processing style and sensory needs. My approach is warm, patient, and attuned to the unique ways neurodivergent minds experience the world, helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered in their own way of being.
