About me
I gained my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology in 2018 from Royal Holloway, University of London. I have worked in NHS mental health services since 2012 and I currently hold an NHS post as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in an oncology service. I have practiced privately since 2020 and have experience of working with individuals facing a range of difficulties in life, including low mood and anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, trauma, fertility difficulties and difficulties with sex. I have a particular interest and specialism in working with people living with long-term health conditions and the link between emotional and physical health, and I have experience of working with people with cancer, HIV, diabetes, Crohn’s disease and other long-term conditions.
Within my practice I provide an empathic, non-judgemental space in which people feel safe to explore their difficulties and make changes in life. I work collaboratively with clients and am always guided by the clients hopes and wishes for therapy. I am able to offer therapy which is structured and focussed or more exploratory.
I utilise a range of evidence based psychological therapies in my work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focussed Therapy. Through psychological therapy we will work together to explore and understand your current difficulties, we will think about what might be contributing to your distress and focus on practical strategies to promote psychological wellbeing and reduce distress.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
