The Therapist Forum: Community and Moderation Policy
The Therapist Forum is a private space for verified members of TheTherapistFinder.com to connect, share, learn, and support one another. By joining, you agree to the following.
Who we are
Membership is limited to practitioners whose qualifications have been verified through TheTherapistFinder.com. This is a professional community, and posts should reflect that.
Confidentiality
Any client material shared here must be sufficiently anonymised. Do not post anything that could identify a client, supervisee, or colleague. Content from the forum, including screenshots, should not be shared outside this space without the author’s consent.
Respect and tone
Disagree freely, but do so with courtesy. Personal attacks, dismissive language, and pile-ons have no place here. Different modalities, training routes, and approaches are all welcome; challenge ideas, not people.
Referrals and room shares
Referrals should be offered in good faith and matched to clinical fit rather than convenience. Room share posts should be clear about location, cost, and terms. Please do not use these threads to promote services outside their intended purpose.
Promotion and self-advertising
Sharing a workshop, CPD offering, event, or piece of writing is welcome in the relevant threads. Repetitive self-promotion, unsolicited pitches, or posts that read as sales copy will be removed.
Clinical discussion
Threads exploring case material, technique, or theory are for peer learning. They are not a substitute for supervision or crisis support. If you are working with something urgent or unresolved, please seek proper supervisory input.
Safeguarding
If a post raises a safeguarding concern about a client, colleague, or member, please flag it to the moderators promptly.
Moderation
The forum is moderated by TheTherapistFinder.com team. We aim for a light touch. Posts that breach this policy may be edited or removed. Repeated or serious breaches may result in suspension or removal of membership, and wherever possible we will speak with you first.
Reporting
If something concerns you, please use the report function on the post or contact us at community@thetherapistfinder.
By joining The Therapist Forum, you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy.
