About me
I’m Farheen — an NCPS-accredited counsellor offering a warm, confidential space for whatever you’re carrying right now. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re trying again with someone new, my aim is to make our work together feel collaborative and free of judgment, so you can show up as you are.
I value building a strong therapeutic relationship, and bring a cross-cultural, intersectional lens to our work – keeping your identity, culture and language in mind as part of the picture, not separate from it. I will work with you to help you gain a clearer understanding of your own process in each session. Sessions can be open-ended or for a fixed number, depending on what suits you.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent several years as an academic researcher studying mental health and body image across cultures. Since qualifying as a counsellor, I have been offering counselling at a low-cost charity in London, supporting young people and adults.
I am strongly committed to continuing my professional development, and seek to engage in regular training as well as supervision.
