How I can help
I can help you explore life’s challenges, uncertainties, and questions about who you are. You may be struggling with anxiety or depression, going through a significant change, questioning your identity, or simply finding that life feels difficult to navigate. Sometimes there isn’t a straightforward problem to solve, but a sense that something isn’t quite right, or that the way you’ve been managing things no longer feels sustainable. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down and explore what’s happening for you, at your own pace. We might look at how past experiences and relationships are shaping your present, the pressures and expectations you place on yourself, or the things that feel beyond your control. There can also be space to explore deeper questions around meaning, relationships, isolation, responsibility, or the future — and to consider how you want to meet the challenges of your life. My aim is to offer a space where difficulties can be understood without judgement, while creating room for greater self-understanding, connection and the possibility of change.

About me
Hi, I’m Alex, a BACP-registered counsellor based in East Bristol. I offer a warm, relational approach to therapy, creating a compassionate and open space where you can be yourself and explore what matters to you without judgement.
My approach is existentially informed, drawing on ideas from psychodynamic and humanistic traditions. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where the relationship we build can provide a space to understand ourselves more deeply and consider different ways of relating to ourselves, other people and the world around us.
I don’t see therapy as about having all the answers, or simply fixing what feels difficult. Instead, I aim to meet you with curiosity and openness, and to work alongside you to make sense of your experience and what you want from your life.
I work with adults in both online and face-to-face sessions, and I welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
