About me
Hi there, I’m Amy.
Reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, particularly if you’re not sure where to start. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.
What I can help with
I can support you with:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Loneliness
- Stress and burnout
- Relationship and family difficulties
- Trauma
- Neurodiversity
- Bereavement
- Low self-confidence
- Loss of self
I have a particular interest in helping adults understand how earlier experiences, relationships and emotional wounds can continue to influence how they think, feel and respond in the present.
Perhaps you’re dealing with something specific, or you’re finding things difficult without knowing where to begin. Counselling can give you space to step back, look at what’s happening and start to see things differently.
How I work
In sessions, I provide a supportive space, where you can explore your experiences, and talk openly about your thoughts and feelings.
I work with you to understand what is happening in your life now, what you want to change, and what might be getting in the way.
We’ll move at your pace to work through difficult emotions, identify unhelpful patterns and explore some practical strategies to support your mental health.
I recognise that every person’s experience is unique, so I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs.
Sessions are 50 minutes long, and I hold regular reviews to make sure we are working on what is most important to you.
All topics and emotions are welcome.
Get in touch
I offer a free 20-minute phone call where you can ask questions, tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling, and get a sense of whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
If you’re considering counselling but aren’t sure where to start, please feel free to get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you.
