About me
My person-centred practice revolves around us building a therapeutic relationship so that you feel able to speak freely in a non-judgmental environment – we’ll be a team, together.
I aim to give you the space and time to explore your emotions and any associated challenges while working together to achieve positive change.
It is important for me to actively listen and hear the emotions you are feeling so we can name them and reflect on where they have come from, or how you have found yourself where you are.
I offer the opportunity to think about your challenges or specific experiences, whether they feel traumatic or otherwise, in a different way so that we can understand how you can move forward.
I am based in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, and hold the BACP-approved Diploma In Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4); this has given me a wealth of theoretical knowledge as well as the most up-to-date training and experience.
I work with clients from East Hertfordshire and North Essex in-person at Stortford Rooms (located in Bishop’s Stortford’s town centre), or from any other area if they can access sessions online.
What I can help with?
Trauma from specific issues or challenges, career/business problems, addiction and addiction-related behaviours, anxiety, low mood, relationship/friendship concerns, disorganised/dysfunctional thoughts, overwhelm, loneliness, loss and bereavement.
Some of my specific interests are working with individuals experiencing panic attacks, members of the transgender community, and people looking to overcome problems that might emerge from early involvement in criminality or the impact of social challenges.
I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, both online and in-person, to adults over 16 years of age.
