How I can help

Anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationships, depression, burnout, self-esteem, grief, and life transitions. Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself? Perhaps you’re struggling with relationships, repeating familiar patterns, navigating a difficult life transition, or carrying past experiences that still affect how you feel today. I offer a warm, compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, stress, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, identity concerns and emotional distress. I also support neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, who may be navigating emotional regulation, self-acceptance, relationships or the challenges of everyday life. My integrative approach draws on Psychosynthesis psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR and mindfulness. This allows us to explore the deeper roots of your difficulties while also developing practical strategies to manage present challenges. Together, we can explore unhelpful patterns, understand your emotional needs, process difficult experiences, strengthen your sense of self and work towards meaningful, lasting change. Therapy is not only about overcoming difficulties. It can also be an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, discover your strengths, and create a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

About me

Hello, I’m Alessandra, a BACP-accredited integrative counselor with additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR.

I offer individual online therapy in English and Portuguese.

At the heart of my work is the belief that we are more than our struggles, symptoms or past experiences. I see therapy as an opportunity not only to understand what causes distress, but also to explore who we are, how our experiences have shaped us, and who we may be becoming.

My approach is rooted in Psychosynthesis, a holistic and integrative model that recognises the connection between mind, body, emotions, relationships and our deeper sense of identity and purpose.

Alongside this, I draw on CBT, EMDR-informed work and mindfulness to support clients with both emotional exploration and practical strategies for change.

I have experience supporting people through a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, family conflict, workplace stress, burnout and significant life changes.

I also have experience working with neurodivergent clients, including people with ADHD and autism, exploring emotional regulation, identity, self-acceptance, relationships and the impact of feeling different or misunderstood.

Much of my work involves helping clients recognise recurring patterns, understand the influence of childhood and past relationships, develop healthier boundaries and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

I am particularly interested in how our early experiences shape our beliefs, emotional responses, and relationships in adulthood. Together, we can explore these connections without judgement, while developing greater awareness, confidence and choice.

My therapeutic style is warm, relational, collaborative and reflective. I believe in creating a space where you can speak openly, explore difficult emotions and feel accepted without needing to have everything figured out.

Having lived across different cultures, I also bring an appreciation of the challenges surrounding identity, belonging, migration, and cultural adjustment.

Whether you’re going through a difficult period, trying to understand yourself more deeply, or feeling that something in your life needs to change, I offer a supportive space to explore what matters to you.

Therapy is not about becoming someone else. It is about reconnecting with yourself, discovering your inner resources, and finding a way forward that feels meaningful and authentic.
