About me

I offer Humanistic Integrative counselling, which means I place you at the centre of our work and adapt my approach to suit your individual needs. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my practice, and I aim to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly.

Working in an integrative way allows me to draw from a range of counselling approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT-informed ideas. This flexibility means we can look at past experiences that may still affect you today, focus on current difficulties, or develop practical ways of managing challenging emotions. Sessions are guided by what feels most important to you, and we work at a pace that feels comfortable.

I have experience supporting people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, and questions around identity and life direction. My professional background includes several years working within the NHS in women’s services, and I have also supported individuals affected by domestic violence and family difficulties through voluntary work. I offer an inclusive and respectful space for LGBTQ+ clients and work with neurodiverse clients in a way that recognises and adapts to different ways of experiencing the world.

My role is not to give advice or tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences. Feeling heard and accepted can make it easier to explore difficult areas and begin to make sense of what is happening in your life.

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, especially if it is your first time. In our first session we will have the chance to get to know each other, talk about what has brought you to therapy, and discuss how we might work together. There is no pressure to have everything figured out, we simply begin where you are. If we both feel the work is a good fit, we can agree on a way of moving forward that supports you.
