I am a BACP registered counsellor who specialises in working with anxiety, overthinking and anger.
Many of the people who come to see me are managing life on the surface. They’re working, keeping things going and doing their best to handle what’s expected of them. But underneath that, something doesn’t feel quite settled. You may have become increasingly short-tempered, are struggling with sleep or just have a persistent anxious feeling.
My aim is to offer a calm, steady and non-judgemental space where we can begin to make sense of what’s going on. By working alongside each other, we can lift some of the burdens or pressures that you carry with you most days and are often difficult to share with others. Some of my clients I work with aren’t used to talking about these things in detail, so it’s completely fine if you’re not sure where to start.
I work using an integrative approach meaning I am trained and experienced in a range of therapy models, including person-centred and psychodynamic therapies. In practice this means the way we work together is always tailored to you and what feels most helpful. We’ll discuss this in your sessions and shape the work around your aims and what you would like to get from therapy.
We will work at your pace. Some of my clients want to understand the deeper roots of what they’re experiencing. Others are more focused on practical ways to manage things day by day.
I offer 50-minute weekly sessions in Peckham, both in person and online on Mondays, Friday and Saturdays. You’re more than welcome to get in touch as I offer a free 20-minute introductory phone call or zoom session. This offers the chance to tell me what you are looking for, ask any questions you may have and see whether we may be a good fit for one another.
