About me

I believe that psychotherapy can get to the root of distress. Through a safe and confidential therapeutic relationship, we can come to understand ourselves better and live with more fulfilment, freedom and self-acceptance. Having been in therapy myself, I know first-hand that the process and effects can be profound. Part of this means looking at how experiences and relationships from earlier in your life are affecting things now. And part of this means learning to be with your present-day experience in a different way – becoming more mindful and curious about your emotions, your mind and your body.

I am an attachment-based psychotherapist based in Old Street, Islington. I have completed a four-year training in attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapy at The Bowlby Centre. I now teach trainee psychotherapists at The Bowlby Centre and, previously, worked as a psychotherapist within the NHS.
I offer an initial short telephone consultation, free of charge. If you are interested in pursuing therapy, we would then meet for four initial 50 minute consultations – a chance to get to know each other a little, for you to see how you feel about working with me and for me to be sure that I am the right therapist for you.

I am an attachment-based psychotherapist

Summary of Experience

I am an attachment-based psychotherapist trained at The Bowlby Centre, where I now also teach, and I have previously worked within the NHS. My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy can help get to the root of distress by understanding how past relationships shape present experience, while also supporting a more curious and mindful way of relating to thoughts, emotions and the body. Having experienced therapy myself, I value the depth of the process and aim to offer a safe, thoughtful and confidential space where meaningful change can take place.
