About me

I  support both individuals and couples experiencing a wide range of issues, including low self-worth, bereavement and loss, childhood abuse and trauma, boarding school abuse, sibling abuse, work related stress, performance anxiety, relationship and friendship issues and much more. I regularly support clients who are in addiction recovery and who practice the Twelve Steps of Addicts Anonymous

Having established a successful practice in London from 2010, I began my practice in Central Bath in 2019. Originally from an arts background, for many years, I had a career as a classical singer, before making my decision to train as a therapist.

Drawing from my background and as a BAPAM (British Association of Performing Arts Medicine) registered practitioner, I regularly (though not exclusively) support professional performers and others working in a wide range of Creative Arts. As a guest lecturer, I have presented workshops at Trinity Laban Conservatoire on Emotional Wellbeing for Performers.

“Do you find yourself bewildered by repeating the same unhelpful patterns in both intimate relationships, friendships or in the work environment? Recognising this and yet not being able to fully make sense of, or change this can be deeply distressing. I can support you to explore this. Sometimes this might mean looking back together, as a way of understanding and processing feelings which might have unsuccessfully been ignored for many years. Feeling, heard, validated and understood in a confidential space can be an invaluable starting point. In addition understanding how to regulate our emotions by showing ourselves compassion, understanding and acceptance can be a really helpful way to integrate even the parts of ourselves that we struggle most with. Maybe you have difficulties implementing boundaries, often agreeing to things and then later feeling resentful and angry both with yourself and others. Therapy can support you with gaining greater awareness of what is happening here.

I have a BA Hons Degree and have been awarded Accredited Member Status with the BACP as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I regularly undertake CPD training, particularly focussing on Attachment, Trauma and all Relationship Issues.
