About me

My approach is humanistic and integrative, rooted in person-centred counselling. I believe every person is unique and capable of change, and that with the right support you can work through what is troubling you and find a way of living that feels better to you. I work with the whole person, whatever brought you to counselling, because everything about you shapes who you are.

Before counselling I was a nurse and then a midwife, supporting people through some of the happiest and hardest moments of their lives, including loss at every stage of pregnancy and birth. I bring that experience to my work with pregnancy, fertility, miscarriage, baby loss and postnatal depression.

I worked for Cruse Bereavement Support for seven years, counselled people with long-term health conditions and disabilities at Mosaic in Leicester, and spent two years as a student counsellor at De Montfort University. I now work in private practice and with Bupa, Axa Health and WPA.

I also offer supervision, with reduced rates for trainee and newly qualified counsellors.
