How I can help
Psychodynamic counsellor in Sale, Manchester, working with anxiety, low mood and life change. I see teenagers from 13, young adults and adults, in person at the Blend Centre and online. People usually come to me with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or a change in life they are finding hard to adapt to. With anxiety, we start where it feels most pressing, looking at what helps you manage the symptoms day to day, and then, when you are ready, at what sits underneath them. I also have experience working with self-harm. My approach draws on psychodynamic and person-centred ideas. In practice, it means we pay attention to early family relationships and attachment, and to the patterns you have carried from them. I am not directive, but I am not passive either. You lead, and I stay actively involved. The relationship between us matters more than any single technique. My aim is for you to leave with more self-awareness, more emotional resilience, and a clearer understanding of yourself and the people close to you. I offer both short-term and longer-term work. Appointments are on Mondays, daytime and evening.

About me
I trained as a psychodynamic counsellor and work in Sale, at the Blend Centre, and online. I am a registered member of the BACP.
Most of my work is with young people and adults dealing with anxiety, low mood and periods of change. I am interested in how early family relationships and attachment shape the way we handle things now, and in what happens when those patterns stop serving us.
I offer a space where you can say what you think, without being judged or steered. Some people want a few sessions to get through something specific. Others stay longer and go deeper. Both are fine.
