About me
I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor (MBACP, MACC) and coach (Animas trained) and fully adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework. I work with aged 16+, young adults, adults and older age clients.
As a former nurse, I’ve had many years’ experience of working with patients and relatives in palliative care, as well as experiencing my own bereavements, and finding healing through counselling.
I am an integrative counsellor, using approaches such as CBT, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Relaxation, Visualisation and Guided Imagery, Psychodynamic and Person Centred interventions, as well as using creative therapies and trauma informed techniques.
Through continuing professional development (CPD) post-qualifying, I have completed additional training in grief work, trauma training for PTSD, guided imagery and relaxation training, working with self-harm and suicidal clients, children and young people, as well as creative ways of working.
