How I can help

I offer a calm, reflective space where you can talk openly about whatever is weighing on you, your emotions, relationships, identity, work, or sense of self. People come to me for support with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, migration experiences, LGBTQIA+ questions, racial identity, self-esteem, and life transitions. My approach is integrative, which simply means I adapt the way I work to suit you. I draw on different evidence‑based methods, but your story, your culture, and your lived experience always guide the process. Therapy with me is collaborative: we think together, explore together, and move at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist with training and experience in psychology, psychotherapy, counselling, and mental health support across clinical, community, digital, and workplace settings. I hold a PhD in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling, and a professional qualification in Clinical Psychology. I am also a registered member of professional bodies, including the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the British Psychological Society, the Portuguese Psychologists Order, and EuroPsy. I have experience providing individual therapy to adults, young people, and families, supporting people with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, panic, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship issues, identity questions, workplace stress, migration-related challenges, and experiences of exclusion or discrimination. My clinical approach is integrative and person-centred. I draw on evidence-based approaches, including CBT-informed work, reflective practice, trauma-informed care, and culturally sensitive therapy. I adapt the work to each person’s needs, pace, background, and goals. Alongside private and community-based therapy work, I have experience in Employee Assistance Programme support, workplace wellbeing, digital mental health platforms, clinical assessments, risk management, safeguarding, psychoeducation, and group facilitation.

About me

I’m a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and I’ve worked with adults and young people in a range of settings, private practice, community services, digital mental health platforms, and workplace wellbeing programmes.

At the heart of my work is a belief that therapy should feel safe, respectful, and free of judgment. Many people seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening, understand the patterns that might be causing distress, and find ways of responding to life with more clarity and confidence.

I have experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, trauma, panic, grief, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, identity questions, migration and belonging, workplace stress, and experiences of racism, exclusion, or marginalisation. I’m particularly committed to working with LGBTQIA+ people and those from racialised, migrant, and culturally diverse backgrounds.

My therapeutic style is warm, honest, and collaborative. I don’t believe in a one‑size‑fits‑all approach. Instead, I take time to understand what you need, what feels comfortable, and what feels meaningful. Depending on what you bring, our work might involve exploring emotions, developing practical coping strategies, reflecting on past experiences, understanding relationship patterns, or strengthening your sense of self.

Above all, I aim to offer a thoughtful, grounded space where you can speak freely, feel supported, and begin to understand yourself and your experiences more deeply and compassionately.
