How I can help
As a Counsellor I have worked with a variety of issues, especially those related to bereavement and loss. The experience of grief for many people can be hard to share with loved ones and be quite isolating. So often the focus of our work here, is to create an empathic space where your feelings can be shared, heard and validated. I have also completed additional training around pregnancy loss. As for many, pregnancy loss can be a upsetting and traumatic event, however often the experiance of this grief is more likely to be hidden, and isolating My professional background is working in social care and as a social worker, such, I have always had a passion for supporting people – especially those experiencing complex physical healthcare needs, and their carers and families, Also working in these environments has also given me a good understanding of the pressures that fast-paced highly-stressed workplaces can place on an individual’s wellbeing leading to stress and burnout.

About me
I work as an integrative counsellor which means that I use a variety of approaches including person-centred, psychodynamic, solution-focused and elements of cognitive behavioural therapy. This way of working allows me to be flexible in my approach and work in a way that is intuitive, and can be adapted to meet your individual needs.
I understand the importance of being able to work with you to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where you can feel free and comfortable to explore whatever issues or difficulties you need to. Working at your pace I can help you to understand yourself better, and use the sessions as a space to explore doing things differently, so that you can live a more fulfilling life.
