About me

I use psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches to therapy in a space that is safe, confidential, and empathic. We will work together to understand the core themes that you bring to help you deal with them better and progress in your life.

This process involves making links, gaining insights, and becoming aware of what is really going on in yourself. The next stage would be to process this material and help you contain it, even when it seems that things are not going to get better. By gaining more understanding and capacity to manage, more choices become possible. One starts gaining degrees of freedom and becomes more able to manage their life. It is a process that takes time and commitment.

In short-term counselling or supportive therapy, we try to focus on the particular issue(s) that you are struggling with and work on them within a limited number of sessions to explore what would help you move forward.

I provide supervision using the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision for therapists and non-therapists. It is a relational approach to supervision that explores the supervisee’s relationship to their client(s) and the supervisor, the internal process of the supervisee, the external context of their practice, and the wider environment.

I have a background in education and experience in business and nursing over many years. I subsequently trained in counselling and psychotherapy. To ensure best practice and develop my work, I attend regular supervision and additional training.
