Welcome to a confidential and compassionate space dedicated for psychological support. My name is Geeta Gajwani, I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Analytical Counsellor, as well as a Relationship and Psychosexual Therapist. I am also the Founder and Clinical Director of Petals Counselling and Psychotherapy I offer one-to-one professional psychological support to adults of all ages, backgrounds, genders, and belief systems, providing both brief and open ended (long-term) therapy tailored to individual needs. My practice welcomes those facing a broad range of challenges, including – Depression, anxiety disorders, disordered eating, psychosomatic problems, phobias, relationship difficulties, psyhosexual problems, personality difficulties, difficult childhood experiences, feelings of underachievement, a sense of dissatisfaction with life, family conflict, loneliness, co-dependent relationships, issues with assertiveness, the impact of acute or chronic emotional pain, major life transitions, acculturation and difficulties in forming, sustaining, or ending intimate relationships. While I work across a broad spectrum of psychological and emotional health concerns, my specialism lies in treating anxiety states, depression, traumata, relationship difficulties, acculturation as well as perinatal, psychosexual, reproductive and neurodivergence challenges.

MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck College, University of London, one of the leading academic and clinical college institutions for psychotherapy in the UK. My MSc is accredited by the British Psychoanalytical Council and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I hold and have received an BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the School of Psychology at the University of East London.
I am working towards a PG Diploma in Psychosexual Relationship Therapy with Tavistock Relationships.
I have over a decade of experience gained in the NHS ( primary and secondary care ) Private and Charity sectors.

As a person of colour, I have extensive experience in supporting clients through issues related to identity, difference, belonging, cultural transitions, family and societal dynamics, as well as intergenerational and transgenerational trauma.I am an professional registrant of the following organisations:

I received and hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck College, University of London, one of the leading academic and clinical college institutions for psychotherapy in the UK. The MSc is accredited by the British Psychoanalytical Council and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I also hold and have received an BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the School of Psychology at the University of East London. The BSc with Honors is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Both training programs have enriched my clinical expertise/knowledge by allowing me to practice with a wide variety of presenting concerns/issues. I have been practising as a therapist/clinician since qualifying in 2014 and have worked with both general and complex patient/client presentations. My intensive and rigorous training spanned over six years, this provides me with the expertise to offer you a confidential, safe, ethical, secure and a bespoke therapeutic service whilst utilising both my learnt and lived experiences. My work with you is supervised by senior clinical supervisiors on a regualr basis and have undergone many years of personal psychotherapy as a training requirement. I continually read and attend professional development courses to build on my practice and keep up to date with developments in counselling and psychotherapy.
Areas of Interest – Specialisms
I work with many areas of psychological and emotional health, with a particular focus on trauma, anxiety states, depression, and perinatal and reproductive challenges. I am also in the final year of my post graduate training in psychosexual therapy with the Tavistock Institute of Medical Psychology, supporting individuals and couples with intimacy challenges, sexual wellbeing, and relationship difficulties. In the past, I have offered my services, for several years as a therapist to a pregnancy and baby loss charity, as well as within an NHS Primary Care GP Practice, offering support in a general medical setting. Currently I also offer my services to a specialist clinic at a London Hospital.
