About me

I’m a professionally trained, integrative counsellor and psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience, who works with a wide variety of issues, and an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I draw from and integrate a range of theoretical perspectives in my counselling practice as this enables me to adapt my approach according to the needs and personality of each client. I offer both short and longer-term therapy to young people, adults and couples.

What is Counselling and Psychotherapy?

At times we all feel stressed and overwhelmed, possibly as a direct result of a traumatic event or simply due to the difficulties we encounter on a daily basis while struggling to juggle the many aspects of our lives. It’s at these times that we can most benefit from taking space to reflect on things.

Counselling and psychotherapy are recognised as effective ways of helping you to explore your issues in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment. By focusing on significant life events, both past and present, along with feelings, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour, I can help you to gain a deeper understanding of your problems, highlight any internal conflicts, clarify what you want and help you focus on the changes you need to make in order to achieve your goals.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained in Person-Centred Counselling at Thames Valley University and went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma and MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at Roehampton University, with further training in CBT, couple work at the Tavistock, and mindfulness. My experience includes work in the voluntary sector, schools, and drug and alcohol services, alongside my private practice.

Summary of Experience

I am a professionally trained integrative counsellor and psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience, and an Accredited Member of the BACP. I work with young people, adults and couples, offering both short and longer-term therapy. My approach is flexible, drawing on different models to suit each person, and I aim to provide a calm, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly.
