I trained as a Person Centred therapist that provides the underpinning of all of my therapeutic interactions, creating a psychological relationship where I, the therapist, am present to witness what you, the client, brings. A key element of me working is making the client feel safe and contained. This is where I use my Somatic training to work with trauma and anxiety, ensuring the client feels grounded and regulated through tools given to them.
I specialise in stress, identity, childhood trauma, single parent support, betrayal trauma, helping loved ones of addicts, survivors of narcissistic abuse, high levels of anxiety, codependency, and dysfunctional family dynamics.
From my experience, many people have been brought up with family values and systems that are ingrained in us, keeping us restricted and do not give us the freedom to flourish to be who we want to be. Leaving our future relationships development impacted where we end up replaying our family dynamics unless we break up the family chain. It could be shame, anxiety, childhood trauma, or traumatic situations that have held us back for a long time.
As part of my work with you, I offer a safe haven where vulnerability is met with compassion, where you can give yourself permission to truly explore your feelings, delving into emotions, hopes and fears in a way that feels comfortable for you.
In our busy lives it is often difficult to allocate time solely for ourselves. I believe choosing therapy is a profound and empowering gift, that gives you time to be heard, understood and supported without judgement. I want to help you to go from hopeless to hopeful.
When booking, any of our in person sessions can be changed to a virtual session. Book your session first and then pop the therapist and hey@theselfspace.com an email to let them know.

Person Centred Therapist
I am a trained person-centred therapist, with additional somatic training that informs my work with trauma and anxiety. My approach is grounded in creating a safe, containing relationship where you can feel steady enough to explore what you’re going through at your own pace. I work with a range of difficulties including stress, identity, childhood and betrayal trauma, codependency, and the impact of complex family dynamics. Drawing on both relational and body-based approaches, I support clients to understand long-standing patterns, feel more regulated, and begin to move towards a greater sense of freedom and choice in their lives.
Your message will be sent directly to this therapist’s inbox.
