How I can help

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’;ve never spoken to a counsellor before. My aim is to provide a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, burnout, grief and loss, relationship challenges, low mood, self-esteem, identity, life transitions, and feeling emotionally overwhelmed or stuck. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Sometimes people simply want the opportunity to better understand themselves, make sense of their emotions, or find a different way forward.

As a BACP-accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling. Feeling safe, heard and understood creates the foundation for meaningful change. I work in a warm, honest and collaborative way, tailoring therapy to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I offer counselling online, by telephone and in person from my private practice in Ashford, Kent, giving you the flexibility to choose the approach that feels most comfortable and fits your lifestyle.

If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, find out more about how I work, and decide whether I feel like the right counsellor for you, with no pressure or obligation to continue.

About me

I’m an experienced BACP-accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with a background in counselling, mental health, sexual health, and health and social care leadership. Alongside my private practice, I work for a national charity , where I support the delivery and development of counselling services for people affected by grief and loss.

Throughout my career, I’ve supported people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives, including anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, identity concerns, stress, burnout and emotional overwhelm. These experiences have reinforced my belief that everyone deserves a safe, compassionate space where they can be heard without judgement.

Earlier in my career, I worked within NHS sexual health services, supporting people navigating HIV, herpes, sexual wellbeing, relationships, sexuality and the emotional impact of a diagnosis. I understand how deeply concerns around intimacy, stigma, shame, rejection and self-confidence can affect emotional wellbeing. Many people carry these experiences in silence for years, often feeling isolated or misunderstood. Providing a confidential, accepting space where these conversations can take place openly is something I care deeply about.

Whatever brings you to counselling, my aim is to meet you with warmth, curiosity and respect, helping you make sense of your experiences and move towards the changes that matter to you.
