About me

As a therapist, I have experience working in the NHS and in private practice. I work with Anxiety, Depression and Trauma and specialise in Addiction , Relationship Issues (Infidelity, Intimacy issues and Compulsive Sexual Behaviour) , LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy and Neurodiverse-affirming therapy (Autistic and ADHD clients).

I believe that therapy should be tailored specially for your individual needs – whether anxiety, depression, self-esteem or PTSD – and I provide a relaxed, safe space where you can feel free to share your issues confidentially and without judgement.

I like to work in a collaborative way, helping you learn more about yourself, your issues and developing strategies to manage them.

It can feel daunting sharing your problems, sometimes for the first time. The most important part of therapy is the relationship between us but it is important that you are in charge of the therapy and your recovery.

I offer short and long-term therapy and work integratively, which means I use more than one type of counselling. I also can work creatively if you feel this would be appropriate and can use creative techniques and mindfulness to ease anxiety or simply understand why you feel a certain way.

Neuroscience can also explain why we have panic attacks, why we don’t wish to talk to people, can’t think straight or want to shut down and sleep all day. Using Polyvagal theory we can use techniques to explain your feelings and help ease them.

Summary of Experience

I have experience working in both the NHS and private practice, supporting clients with anxiety, depression and trauma. I specialise in addiction, relationship difficulties, including infidelity, intimacy and compulsive sexual behaviour, and offer LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodiverse-affirming therapy for autistic and ADHD clients. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you, creating a safe, confidential space where you can speak openly without judgement. I work both short and long term, drawing on an integrative range of approaches, including creative techniques, mindfulness and an understanding of neuroscience, to help you make sense of your experiences and find ways to manage them.
