How I can help

I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working in NHS mental health services. I support adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, OCD, social anxiety, low self-esteem, self-criticism, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting. My aim is to provide a safe, compassionate space where we can work together to make sense of what you are experiencing and identify ways forward. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, struggling with the impact of past experiences, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, I will tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, and strengths. I have a particular interest in helping people understand how early life experiences, relationships, and attachment patterns may continue to influence the way they think, feel, and relate to others in the present. Together, we can explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you develop new ways of responding to difficulties and move towards the life you want to live. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Systemic approaches, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) for trauma. Therapy is always adapted to your unique circumstances and preferences.

About me

Alongside my private practice, I work as a Senior Clinical Psychologist within an NHS adult mental health service. Throughout my career, I have worked with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences, including those experiencing the effects of trauma, difficult relationships, loss, and major life changes.

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. I strive to create a warm, genuine, and non-judgemental environment where you feel listened to, understood, and accepted. My style is collaborative, thoughtful, and down-to-earth. While therapy can help reduce distress and overcome specific difficulties, I am also passionate about supporting people to better understand themselves, make sense of their experiences, and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

Finding the right therapist is important, and I am always happy to have an initial conversation to answer any questions and help you decide whether I might be the right fit for you.
