How I can help
I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is going on for you. As a psychotherapeutic counsellor with advanced EMDR training and experience in DBT, I tailor therapy to your individual needs—because there is no “one size fits all.” I support people experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, emotional dysregulation, and those who feel stuck or overwhelmed. I also bring lived experience of being an undiagnosed AuDHD adult for much of my life, allowing me to offer a compassionate, neuro-affirming approach to autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD clients, whether diagnosed or self-identifying. Together, we’ll work to help you heal, understand yourself more deeply, and create meaningful, lasting change.

About me
Hi, I’m Sharon.
I’m a psychotherapeutic counsellor with advanced EMDR training, and I know just how difficult it can be to take that first step and ask for help. If you’re here looking through my website, you’ve already made a start, and that’s something to be proud of.
I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can be yourself. My aim is to help you feel comfortable enough to talk openly about whatever is going on for you, without worrying about being judged or told how you “should” feel.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years working in mental health. During that time, I met people from all walks of life, each with their own story, struggles, and strengths. It taught me that no two people are the same, which is why I don’t believe therapy should be a one-size-fits-all approach.
I’m probably what many people would call an “out of the box” therapist. Rather than sticking rigidly to one way of working, I work with the person sitting in front of me. I draw on different therapeutic approaches, including advanced EMDR, to tailor sessions to what you need. I believe you’re the expert on your life; my role is to walk alongside you and help you make sense of what’s happening, find new ways forward, and support you in reaching your goals.
Alongside my professional training, I also bring lived experience. I identify as being undiagnosed AuDHD, and although I’ve spent years understanding myself, I know what it’s like to feel different, to mask, to overthink, and to become overwhelmed. That experience has given me a deeper understanding of how exhausting life can sometimes feel and reinforces my belief that everyone deserves to be accepted for who they are, not who they think they should be.
People often tell me that I have a calm and approachable nature, which helps them feel at ease. Whether you’re living with trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or you’re simply feeling stuck, I’m here to offer support without judgement.
I know that reaching out can feel daunting, but you don’t have to face things on your own. Sometimes having someone who genuinely listens, understands, and supports you can make all the difference.
I’d be honoured to be part of your journey.
