How I can help

Is life leaving you feeling directionless, anxious, and in need of guidance and support? Maybe you lack energy and find it hard to motivate yourself at work or move forward in your relationships? Despite everything you know already and all your best efforts, you feel more stuck, confused and frustrated than before. How would it be to find a way through this? My role as a therapist is to walk with you through an empowering journey of self-exploration, reflection and growth. To provide support for you to transform anxiety, stress and depression, navigate life transitions, identify and heal trauma, find a route to recovery from addiction, or create healthy relationships with family, friends and yourself. One-to-One Therapy can provide a safe and validating space to understand and process your fears, recognise your resources and strengths, and build resilience so you can become your best self. Carefully balancing what is introspective and real, we can work together in a collaborative relationship to uncover the obstacles in your way, nurture the natural energy within you to overcome them, and build a vision for you to create the life you want to live. An authentic life where your needs are met, you feel fulfilled, and you flourish. You experience self-actualisation. Though this may seem hard to see from where you find yourself now, with curiosity, courage, and at times hard work, the challenge of exploring within yourself to discover your real purpose can be invigorating and deeply rewarding.

About me

I’ve always been interested in people – what we think and feel, and how we behave and interact with each other.

I am a fully qualified BACP registered counsellor with a Diploma (Level 7) in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Metanoia Institute, London. I have also completed the Foundation Course in Group Analysis from the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA) and hold an up-to-date DBS certificate.

My clients come from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. In the past, I have provided low-cost charitable counselling and psychotherapy services, a counselling service for teachers working in schools, and worked as a Counsellor in the Psychology and Wellbeing service at a large NHS GP practice in London.

In addition I work with clients using the ‘12 Step Programme’ to address clients’ addictions to alcohol, drugs, gambling, food and eating disorders, sex, and other related issues.

Before training to be a therapist, I lived abroad for many years working in the eco-travel sector, and prior to that in financial services in London.

I am increasingly curious about the relationship between humans and the natural world and the emerging practice of ‘eco-therapy’ – improving mental and physical wellbeing through a connection with nature and our ecological environment.
