Training, qualifications & experience

I offer a compassionate, collaborative space to help you navigate whatever challenges you are facing. As a BACP-accredited counsellor working in both the NHS and private practice since 2017, I have supported adults through a broad range of experiences—including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, identity exploration, and major life transitions.

Life rarely fits neatly into different boxes, and therapy shouldn’t either. My integrative approach combines person-centred warmth with psychodynamic insight. This means we focus on what you are experiencing today while gently exploring past patterns or relationships when they feel relevant. Rather than offering pre-packaged solutions, my role is to help you gain clarity, understand yourself more deeply, and create room for meaningful change. If you feel ready for change but aren’t sure where to start, we can figure that out together in our first session.

My professional background

  • BSc Psychology & Counselling
  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • NHS PCE-CfD Counselling training
  • PCE-CfD Supervision Diploma

About me

I hold huge love and commitment in working alongside people to empower them in looking at events in their lives which may have been overwhelming or distressing and can happen to anyone at any time. Sometimes life can leave us feeling stuck, not knowing where to turn. Distressing events can fill us with fear in taking the next step. Feeling confused and overwhelmed can unexpectedly stop us in our tracks. Whatever your challenge, my approach is to offer an honest, trusting relationship within which to accompany you through your difficulties to regain your confidence in finding your way to a better place in life.

Sometimes life takes us somewhere we didn’t expect. A relationship changes, something difficult happens, we lose someone, or we simply realise the way we’ve been managing things isn’t working anymore. Counselling doesn’t have to begin with knowing exactly what you need. It can begin with simply being ready to talk and I look forward to hearing from you when that time feels right for you.
