You appear steady. You get things done. People rely on you. Yet inside it may feel very different. You might feel tense, anxious, or overwhelmed, replaying conversations and questioning your choices. You tell yourself to keep going, but something deeper is asking to be heard, and you are unsure how to begin. I work with people who seem capable outwardly, yet feel stuck internally. I help you understand the patterns behind anxiety, overthinking, and relationship strain so life feels less pressured and more fulfilling.

Are you navigating questions around identity, relationships, sexuality, gender, race, culture, belonging, or a combination of the above?

Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship conflict, family dynamics, burnout, grief, trauma, shame or the impact of racism, discrimination, and other systemic pressures.

Do you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or unsure how to move forward?

Perhaps you’re feeling exhausted by the need to explain your lived experience to people who don’t get it.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental, supportive and personalised approach to help you explore and process any significant life issues, traumatic history, unwanted thoughts and beliefs, and compulsive behaviours that are holding you back.

My role is to support you in exploring your feelings, needs, behaviours and problems in a safe, structured, confidential setting. The foundation of my approach is a therapeutic relationship based on compassionate, non-judgmental respect and offering empathic understanding so that you feel seen and heard.

Ester Bellissimo

I have a background in Psychology and Counselling with my undergraduate degree from the University of Derby. I trained as a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist at the University of Lancashire with the completion of my postgraduate diploma in Psychosexual Therapy. I have had the opportunity to support people both in the charitable and NHS sectors, ultimately deciding to move into private practice to offer a more flexible and client-centred approach. Creativity is an important part of how I work, and it felt important to me that sessions are shaped by each person’s needs rather than prescriptive, which were some of the limitations I was encountering in other sectors. Before training as a therapist, I worked in services supporting people with alcohol and drug addiction, as well as individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and disabilities. These roles continue to inform my compassionate and trauma-informed approach.
